Surprising turns of events!

I know I haven't been catching up for the past few days with the updates, due to many things that I has been happening (believe it or not). Anyways, I will have to stop blogging (temporarily or permanently). One reason being that I got addicted to Twitter and all. So, I currently update daily my Facebook and Twitter. Links being on the right hand side block to "My Sites". Cheers!

School Play #9

Well, how should I put this.. This is basically the sort of 'end' to the practice session of the "annual school play". After 9 days of hard work and dedication, we had finally finished and wrapped up everything in place. Today was the "Student Led Conference" which means 'no bus transport or classes'. But that didn't stop the play sessions from going on. The play session practice was held on at the auditorium. And I had to admit the play was actually pretty decent and lengthy, which was a good sign. We also had the chance to act with our costumes on as well, which seemed to have put the 'character' effect within us, sort of. The practice was as the usual and we all got ready to face the real stage tomorrow and the day after.

Daily Quotes #7

"Prayer is not asking. It is a longing of the soul. It is daily admission of one's weakness. It is better in prayer to have a heart without words than words without heart."

-Mahatma Gandhi

School Play #8 "Nearing the end"

The school play has been really gone long has it not? By the 8th day of practice, we are safe to say that we had managed to complete the play in one go (as smoothly as possible). We also finally got the chance to do it at the Auditorium and also managed to get our costumes and collar-mics. The practice session also managed to last much longer in comparison to the previous play sessions. The play will be played at the two days of Tuesday and Wednesday. Being that tomorrow would be "Student Led Conference", there would be no school tomorrow. But with only a day to practice, our coordinator took the chance to utilize this remaining day to wrap up the entire play. Hopefully it will end up successful for the following days and bringing to a conclusion to my stay at GEMS Winchester School.

CFC: Youth For Christ CAMP SWAG!

So, I've been meaning to join YFC for quite some time now ever since I've gotten an invitation to go from my friends. Finally, Youth Camp has arrived for me to finally enter into their world. I may say that it was one of the most sensational experiences I had ever felt in my entire life, and that is saying a lot. During the camp, we had bonding times with new friends, learning more about relations with the christian faith through inspirational talks of the current members and lots of fun activities along with it, especially the fact that it was a sleepover! The talks were the main focus of the camp, giving us the recap and revision of our christian faith. In comparison to what I learnt in Catechism, the camp really ties up loose ends. I tried to be as flexible as possible and make new friends, and sure enough I did and made new lots of them, gladly (we also had a performance under the category: Skit, Comedy, Musical, Jokes). Fun activities range from breaks to mind games! The following day, we attended confession and mass. And man the last session was quite the surprise! With the conclusion of the two days and one night spent during Youth Camp, it really was quite an experience, and am really wanting more of it! I really am looking forward to my following days spent at YFC.

School Play #7

Another usual day for rehearsals for the school play. There were few absentees but was overall very manageable. The practice was held at the suite for the rest of the day. Laughter roared with complaints as well attempted to finish scenes as soon as possible. Acting was really improving in terms of expressive and volume tones. The props team was up and ready with the props though there is still one more left. Problem is there is no available material left in order to make it, leaving us to wait for the material's arrival. All in all there is nothing more to say on what happened today because it was really what is going on for the past few days. Kudos to the actors crying in drama films because man, crying is really tough. Hopefully we get to finish soon enough.

Daily Quotes #6

"You can't move other's hearts, unless you can move you own."

-Kasuki Fujisawa (Sakurasou no Pet na Kanojo)

Recommendation Wednesday #3 "Ichiban no Takaramono 一番の宝物 "

The only song that I had ever heard that has managed to change my perspective of this world, and that is saying a lot. This song demonstrates and expresses it's diverse emotions through it's lyrical verses, which really does pull your heart strings. Coming from a dramatic anime "Angel Beats!" band called "Girl's Dead Monster", it is sung by Yui (LiSA) in which she really does do an extremely great job at delivering these emotions to the listeners. And tears are shed when this song if played, may it be with vocals or just regular soundtrack, the result is the same. The anime "Angel Beats!" is also well recommended for it's extreme dramatic stand point of emotion and the character developments of it's characters. "Girl's Dead Monster"'s songs are all good in it's ways that if they were actually sold as albums, no doubt will I be the first one to buy it!

School Play #6 "All is well"

The entire condition of the play seems to be doing quite well. Less adjustments are being made, and we are finally practicing the entire length of the play without and pauses, along with a video recording of it. Of course it wasn't all the perfect (laughs and cuts along the way). The prop side had some new members which is pretty convenient if you ask me. The props have nearly been finished with only little to no props left to complete. Too bad the school play members didn't attend the GIWEX/BYOD assembly, because I really wanted to see what the participants had done. The good side though, it seems that I am able to get my costume at around tomorrow (Thursday). At this pace, we could really complete our rehearsals for the school play, and hopefully it will end up as a success at the following week.

Artworks #1 "Nisekoi"

This is one of my most recent artworks. All of my Anime/Manga artworks are uploaded to my DeviantART account. This artwork I had tried a new style, just an attempt to widen my variety in terms of drawing/sketching. This was originally uploaded and done at April 9th, 2014. I hadn't done much drawing since then due to busy school schedules and work. But I do plan to continue doing so considering that summer vacations are already here. Extra details for this artwork are in my DeviantART account.

So the other day, I watched "12 Years a Slave"

This film basically revolves around the suffering, endurance, courage and abiding humanity of a freeborn man kidnapped and sold into slavery. Considering that most of us don't really capture the true brutality of slavery, the movie completely captures it! The ones able to make that happen were the brilliant cast actors and especially the director, Steve McQueen. This movie was certainly not easy to watch, but it is absolutely worth the watch! But if I were to have watched it the previous year, then it would have certainly have my number 1 spot as the best movie of 2013.

The Cambridge International School Interview

Of course miracles happen. Such examples would be me gaining an admission interview at "The Cambridge International School". So, I mentioned that the results were to be announced. And it seems like I kinda got into the list, barely. The interview went quite well really. The interviewer being a P.E teacher. After so, I selected my optional subjects (BTEC IT, Environmental Management, Chemistry, Business Studies, Sociology and BTEC Media) which are quite different from my current state at Winchester. Hopefully I'll get to adjust with the subject schedules in time. Though, I still am waiting for the call from "The Winchester School - Jebel Ali". Well, atleast I got a school to go to now for next year.

My thoughts on the Anime film "Steins;Gate: Fuka Ryouiki no Déjà vu 劇場版 シュタインズ・ゲート 負荷領域のデジャヴ"

How does one continue a story that has already wrapped up perfectly? This anime film had brought an extreme series of emotions. Bringing tears, keeps you at the edge of your seat and mostly, it brings back the nostalgic feeling of the Anime series. This anime film focuses on the tough romance around Kurisu and Okabe, and of course, the time-travelling factors coming in between them. I also liked the fact that they had made Kurisu as the main protagonist for this anime film. To me, I was able to comprehend the ending of the anime series, but this movie really did tie up certain loose ends found in this anime. Thus, making this movie the perfect conclusion to the series. Also making this movie an easy 10/10 on my part. In conclusion, "Steins;Gate: Fuka Ryouiki no Deja vu" is quite simply  thrilling, romantic and beautifully heat warming experience.

San Antonio Spurs won the NBA 2014 Championship!

Alas! Over a year ago, the Spurs had been defeated at Game 6 of the NBA finals, loosing their chances of claiming the NBA Championship title. This year, they came out determined to take advantage of their second chance opportunity. Having led the elimination round, it was really an obvious winner. The Finals were completely under the control of the Spurs as they swept the Heat away with a 4-1. The final game earlier at the final score of 104-87. San Antonio really deserved it this year and at last, Tim Duncan can retire from the NBA as a champion ending his spectacular career. Yet again, Congratulations to the San Antonio Spurs!

Daily Quotes #4

"You'll start hating life if you do what you hate."

-Chihiro Sengoku (Sakurasou no Pet na Kanojo)

So the other day, I watched "The Fault in our Stars"

This movie really was over hyped ever since it was ever announced. I remember having read the book ages ago without anyone even knowing the bloody thing existed. Kudos to John Green for having made this book. To make it fair, I'm not gonna judge this in comparison to the book, because I believe that movies and books are different sets even though they might have the same story. Basically, I'll pretend I never read the book at all and judge it as a movie as a whole. The premise of the movie mainly involves how a couple struggles their life relationship due to cancer and other such illnesses. Well, the first impressions of most people would probably be that of expecting it to be the usual 'tweeny teenage romance' where everything falls in place and there is a happy ending. But this movie is smart, instead of following the usual pattern most movies fall into (twilight), it went through it's way to best describe how much these characters are going through by making them as realistic and relatable as possible. I have to admit, I didn't shed tears like other the viewers. But that didn't mean that it wasn't emotionally traumatizing to see these two determined souls to be torn apart due to their unfair conditions. All in all, this movie was incredibly showcased, great acting, character relatability, and is very well deserving of being one of the most successful and hyped films this summer.

School Play #5

So, considering the length of the overall play still hadn't improved over 15 minutes. We plan to make a movie to show before the actual play itself. Other than that there were few role adjustments again (as usual). The props side was literally booming in terms of progress with the prop materials, which was really good for my part (because I have both the props and main role to worry about). Man does the acting role had become a real task to do. Such acts that isn't really my type is crying. Unfortunately, a scene from the play mainly focuses on me crying for the loss of my brother, roughly at about 3 minutes in the clock, which mind you, is really difficult to do. Later that day, we managed to get hold of the auditorium in order to practice. Well, obviously it wouldn't go perfectly place just like that, there should be something that ruins it..and sure enough by then, actors weren't taking it seriously, which really defeats the purpose of being there in the first place. But what can you do? We are young lads after all.

The Westminster School Entrance Exam

Yet comes another one. This time it is at "The Westminster School - Al Ghusais". It is really quite surprising how much students from my school had attended the exam (nearly 20 students perhaps). I wasn't really planning to have an admission to this school but I don't have any choice considering my limited school options. So, I was greeted by a nice seating arrangements for the entrance exam. Something quite different than what I had experienced from the entrance examinations of "The Winchester School - Jebel Ali" and "The Cambridge International School". I assumed that the paper would be the usual copy of test papers filled with multiple choice questions. But that wasn't the case for this one though (surprisingly). This one actually follows the IGCSE standards and retains questions from the past papers. It was quite worrying at first, but I got through the English paper with ease. But it wasn't the same situation with Maths though. Maths had quesitons that most of us students still hadn't learnt yet, which was pretty troublesome to solve. This is a pretty bad situation if you ask me. I don't even think I'll get to pass with this school. But results for the Cambridge examinations will be announced as of tomorrow. So, hopefully I'll get an admission at least at that school.

Date A Live greenlit for a movie!

It seems that there would be a theatrical film planned to release at the end of the second season of Date A Live. It was announced by the official twitter account of Date A Live and this would be an alternative instead of having a separate season 3.

Source: Anime News Network

So the other day, I watched "The Edge of Tomorrow"

Well, this movie's release didn't seem to gain much hype as comparison to the film "The Fault in our Stars" that is released at nearly the same time. It's trailer seems to set the picture as "Ugh, this sci-fi gag again" and thus, had low expectations and by this time we had lost hopes for Tom Cruise's career. But that wasn't really the case when seeing the actual film as a whole. The film actually was really innovative to use the idea of time warping and intensifying it's crucial moments with great acting. The main idea of the movie is basically about an alien race that has taken over Europe and now plans to take over the world, which is pretty basic for most sci-fi movies nowadays along with time warping elements as well. The thing that made this movie really good was the extreme character development Cruise had to go through and his complicated relationship spent with Emily Blunt, which is pretty relatable. Overall, this movie had great acting, side characters, effects, premise, intensifying and a proof that Tom Cruise still is a movie star and that the Summer of 2014 is surely going to be a good one.

Hoops Basketball Academy Training #1 "The Triple Threat"

I have been registered to "The Hoops Basketball Academy" for the sole purpose to improve my play of basketball (because dribbling is not my thing and my shooting can't get any better). At an early hour we set out to the gym. After receiving my new sets of jerseys and name tag, I set out to practice and train. Surprisingly enough, I find a friend there who I had met at pond park months ago. The practice primarily consists of warm-ups, positions (mainly focused on the "Triple threat" position), and shooting. I wasn't really getting into the mood at the start of the session, but have settled onto the training mood some time later. The main problem would be that of me being a "leftie" and the training mainly comprises of "right handed" training. But overall, this training session really is a good learning environment as I had managed to actually "get" what and how important such a single position (triple threat) can provide to my style, and hopefully I get to learn much more in the training sessions ahead.

Random Pics #1 "The agony of young artists"

Considering that I am an artist myself (mainly anime/manga sketches), I aspire to do more factors influencing my drawing as much as possible. One of those factors is coloring or perhaps shading my drawing. Well, the problem that has been faced with many of us young artists is that after we tend to have more time and effort spent whence doing a sketch, we really hesitate to do anything else when you're done with it. But at times, we do take our risks, at times it ends up good but at times, it ends up ruining an otherwise perfect drawing.

School Play #4 "The Laughing Stock"

Whew, the aura lifted up big time! So, we got new members that had joined to replace the ones who had backed out. This time, we tested out the play in full length time with no cuts or pauses. The result was at about 15 minutes in the clock, which was disappointingly short (considering the max. timing as 40 minutes). Because of this, we had to reformat the script, add some adjustments, etc etc. Luckily the changes weren't all that bad at all. The prop side was doing as swell as ever. The rehearsals today (especially my part) was literally a laughing stock for the entire practice session. Well, laughter is the best medicine no? Today, I would consider as the day I say goodbye to my Swatch watch that was lost during my playtime, as I couldn't find it at all after the break time. Bad news aside, we have finally had my art teacher to help my prop team in making the props (finally). I also got called in for an examination at Westminster at Al Ghusais, and the most important factor of having this great day is that it is a Thursday. Peace!

Happy Independence Day!!

This is the very day whence my country had been freed during 1898 from the colonization of Spanish rule which had lasted for nearly 400 years. This day makes us remember of the sheer pressure and the very hope of every filipino during those times when we all fought for our pride and freedom of our great nation, the Philippines. Thus, we celebrate today "The Independence Day of the Philippines"!

Recommendation Wednesday #2 "Kibou no Hana 希望の花"

This time's recommendation would be an anime soundtrack that I really loved. It's way of words and expressive thought provoking lyrics are just to much to let it go un-noticed. The way it was also sang by Haruka Chisuga really pulls your heart strings. This really is one of, if not "the number one" of all the soundtracks I've heard so far in terms of dramatic tone. So here is "Kibou no Hana by Haruka Chisuga", an Ending Soundtrack for an also remarkable and unique anime series called "Kotoura-san". You could check out the anime as well as it delivers a really important message to all of us that no other anime can (coming from me, it really is saying quite a lot).

School Play #3 "Misconceptions"

Oh my was this day pretty depressing. Well, it wasn't in the beginning though. So, our early day began straight away with out routine rehearsals. Also considering my prop team already on the move on doing our thing, which was great progression! The acting job was nearly good and had finally finished the entire script right before the break time had started. Man was it a great moment of laughter and joy. Well, that didn't last for as long though. Right after the break, there were arguments and all (am not stressing to the details) which eventually caused the "back-out" of 3 students from the play. Now this was a pretty bad timing to go (considering already finishing the script and all), so yeah, it was in a pretty depressing state. On the other hand, my prop team is doing quite good (having finished the scroll trailer and the trees) which made my mood lighten up. Man I wished I should've stayed with my prop team in the first place! Hopefully, the mood will settle from tomorrow on wards because I really can't handle the aura of negativity.

School Play #2 "Touching the Rim"

It's now the second day of our school play days. After the sweat and blood for getting the requirements needed in order to get the props, they had finally come onto our hands as the prop team (though not all the materials but manageable). But I am still switching about the role of main character and as the head of the prop designer, so it's a bit hefty in my part. Well, other than the matters with the play going on, something miraculous happened during my usual break time. I was usually playing my game of basketball working out my shooting skills (because of my lack of time with routine practice). I am well aware that I can touch the backboard pretty confidently already. Then, I decided to step it up a bit...by attempting to touch the "rim". And I did...well, two of my fingers did anyways. What a surprise that was! That was hell of a one pay off for my jumping exercises over the recent years since I've touched the net in my 8th grade. I know that I am not updating the blog as much but I will assure that will not cause any delays or haituses' for any reason whatsoever, am just pretty caught up with these busy schedules. But they are fun anyhow, so I'll keep updating the "School Play" section daily.

School Play #1

Officially starting off the school play plannings and practices today, I am appointed as the head of the props team for the play. It was a pretty good start though some of my team didn't really want to go. The play itself was kinda confusing first hand as there was no "fixed" script. Well, everything was going smoothly until more of the team were dropping out (props, acting, crew). Which means, we have to take over their "jobs" as well. Considering that one job was tough enough, we have to deal with two this time around. I am now appointed for both the props team leader and the main cast character "Alibaba". Prop activity still hadn't started as of yet due to the lack of permission we have to get our desired resources to start making the props. With less than 3 weeks left to go, hopefully we could get to finish it in time! Even though it may be only the first day, but we ain't gonna waste it!

The Cambridge International School Entrance Exam

So, today I had to go for a half day schedule at school as a have to take my entrance test for Cambridge. We set out on a convoy journey to the school, which was a long one considering the mass traffic, just a little bit early at the nick of time. My friends came along as well. After writing out the admission paper and filing the requirements, we set out to do the 2 hour test. It was in an all is well situation until the fire alarm bell had rung. We were forced to go outside the football court, which was in fact: Hot as hell. Well, we did have a good look to the school though before we came back. The test in itself was quite easy. Surprisingly the test paper for English was the exact same one from what I was tested on at "The Winchester School - Jebel Ali", so it was automatically a great paper for me. I could say the same for Mathematics as well. Hopefully though, this time I could get called to this school as I really don't have much patience to stay "School-Less" anymore, more or less for my friends as well.

3 weeks of "School Play" preparations

It has been 2 days since the end of the final term examinations, and that doesn't mean that it's going to be straight to the "holiday mood". There are many activities planned for the next final 3 weeks of this academic year. The first being the usual BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) project that is basically bringing in your devices to research and present a certain topic. The second being the GIWEX in which I don't really got the full details on. The third being the "Dragon's Den" based on the UK television series (entrepreneural challenge). And the final one being the "School Play" which I am in. So, I have been made the head of the props department of the play. Hopefully, we would get to finish the play in a matter of 3 weeks and let it be a good one as well!

Happy Birthday to "The King of the Crossover"!

It's been a long time since he played the game of basketball, going through his retirement. All those time he played on the court, he showed the world how basketball isn't all about the "Jordan style" or the "Kobe style", he showed how it is important to be yourself when playing at the court. He himself didn't start the NBA as a champ either, he had flaws and arguments, but that didn't stop him from developing into one of the greatest basketball players of all time. We all wish Allen Iverson a great happy birthday!

My thoughts on the Anime "Golden Time ゴールデンタイム"

Considering that Golden Time has finally ended with it's 24th episode, might as well tell my thoughts of the entire series as a whole. So, here it goes! I would definitely recommend watching this anime if you are into romance that doesn't actually thrive into drama. There are some dramatic elements, but it's not a type of series that you would want to look for in terms of drama, there is only drama right about the end. I feel like Golden Time did a really great job at handling the drama, it's character progression, it's character development, and all round everything was likable about the series. The ending raised a lot of unanswered questions, but that doesn't mean that it was bad. But just resulted on me wanting to have more of it! I really liked this anime and I am very glad to have seen it through the very end!

Just got back from a trip to the Westminster School Sharjah tour. After so, I went to BookWorld Kinokuniya (Dubai Mall) to get me some books. I got 4 books in the end, mostly manga and one novel. This is what I considered to be my "birthday present" for my 15th birthday, and was I ever so happy!

Final Exams: Day 5 "The Last Day"

So, there is a good reason for why I hadn't posted this yesterday, let's not dive into the details. Exams finally come to a close with Chemistry and P.S.H.E (Physical Social Health Education). We studied and mostly focused on chemistry during revision time as it contained all the bits and facts of what might come in the paper. But boy was the paper easy. I finished the paper at a matter of 30 minutes! Should I call it luck or just the result of pure hard work? P.S.H.E on the other hand was what we had all expected, a cakewalk. I was actually expecting much more of the paper basing on the portions, but it seems that it decided to loosen up a bit, and man was it a good finishing paper to our final exams! When the papers were being collected, everyone couldn't control themselves but to celebrate even though our exam invigilators had attempted to threaten them. Well, what can you expect? It was one week of hell, and most definitely celebration is what you'll expect in the end of it. But the results will be our first priority first.

Recommendation Wednesday! #1 "No Game, No Life ノーゲーム・ノーライフ"

This anime is called "No Game, No Life". The story basically centers around two siblings named Sora and Shiro. They have a reputation of being a brilliant NEET (Not in Education, Employment, or Training) hikikomori (shut-in) gamers that are famous all around the internet in the name of "Blank". Well, reality to them is basically a "crappy game". One day, they have been summoned by a boy named "God" to an alternative world that perhaps looks like a fantasy game. This anime is currently ranked number one on the Animeseason rating list, and I can see why. It started to air at April 9th, 2014. Spoilers can be spoken out if I spoke of further details, but considering this is a recommendation, I would just leave it at that. The rest are for you to find out!

Wednesday and Thursday Specials

It's been quite bland here in this blog just me posting about everyday things. So, I got the idea to spice things up a bit. That is I've decided to do something special for Wednesday and Thursday, this special feature will not only spice things up a bit, but also ensures me to keep on updating this blog (so there will be no possibilities of any haitus anymore). Alrighty then, the things happening for Wednesday is that per week starting today, I would post recommendations of any media (anime, movies, shows, tech, etc). Whereas on Thursdays, I would post Top 10's of any subject (anime, movies, languages, etc). So, that's it!

Links to the Past

Just a side note, this is not the first blog that I had ever created. I actually made a blog from the previous year, 2013 at around July. Anyhow, the entire blog is centered upon "Anime" and everything related to it, either it may be recommendations, reviews, news, AMV's or anything. I had discontinued my updates to the blog for a long time now and I don't really plan on continuing it anyways (as I have this blog now). The sole reason is that I had a huge haitus during the month of August due to my trip to the Philippines. That resulted in me not updating the blog for new episodes and news updates, which caused my mood to continuing the blog go off until finally I stopped blogging altogether. That is until before the exams, that I finally want to restart blogging again, and here I am now with this brand new one!

This is the link for my old blog, it is called "Reading Anime Society":

Admission Spree

It seems that taking the entrance exams at "The Winchester School - Jebel Ali" wasn't good enough. It's true that we gotta take precautions in case I didn't get to pass, right? Well, it such back up of course includes several admissions to certain schools. That includes: Cambridge International School and The Westminster School - Al Ghusais. As much as I resist going to either of these schools, it does look like I don't have much of  a choice. So, I registered for both of them online and it seems I've gotten myself yet another entrance test at Cambridge International School at Sunday (well, missing school by then is not really gonna affect anything anymore as there would be no exams by then). Hopefully, I get at least admitted to a school before next year arrives, wish not to be school-less.

Final Exams: Day 4 "It's so easy, it's criminal"

I have to say, that was quite a cakewalk. After cramming all the minor details of Biology for the past few early hours of the morning, it finally paid off to see an easy paper, well "understandable" paper (as you can see, I still hadn't gotten over the math paper 2). Well, it's not a type of cakewalk that I could say that could get me to score full marks, but most probably for an A grade. As for ICT, what can I say? Each question relates to everything that I had read from the textbook and the worksheet. Though it may be straightforward, it was quite lengthy as for a 1 hour paper (not as lengthy as English, of course). So, so far, I got to finish 4 days of exams (8 subject exams), and 1 day to go (2 subject exams)! Hopefully chemistry would give me a break tomorrow.

Stephen King's Mr. Mercedes is out!

At long last, Stephen King's long awaited book "Mr. Mercedes" is out in book stores! Surely, after my exams, I would grab myself a copy of it. I can't wait to read it! At the same time, the "Epic Rap Battles of History" (ERB) had posted a video featuring Stephen King. I have to admit, the rap battle was pretty sweet! Shockingly, Stephen king whence announcing the release of "Mr. Mercedes" in his tweet, he mentions about the rap battle as well, which is sick! Who would ever know that Stephen King watches rap battles? With that reference, I give more pluses to him. Kudos Master of Horror!

Final Exams: Day 3 "The Worst Part"

It has finally come down to Maths and Arabic. Waking up as early as 3:30 in the morning was a bad start at itself to get extra studying time, but is still wasn't enough considering the misplacement of my textbook. And I never did open my Arabic text or notebook. We didn't even get revision time at school, due to the fact that there were two papers! The first paper was pretty decent enough for me to get satisfied, but the second one was a mess. And I wasn't the only one feeling this way, as the entire exam hall was practically silent during that time. Most of what I've learnt was seemingly out of place in the papers. I honestly don't know what to expect of my marks for this exam. Arabic on the other hand was a bit picky as well. One factor being that I never opened the book to revise. Secondly, jumbled words and answering questions apart from the paragraph wasn't always my thing, also considering that you couldn't ask for question doubt translations as doubt-clearing is not allowed. This day was basically hell in a nutshell. The positive note at least is that this would be the last of the difficulties for the final exams!

Lost at the Wrong Times

It has been quite the relief to finish off the two exams that had the most stress built up in everyone's mind, "Business and Economics". Tomorrow being Maths and Arabic. Well, I have been maintaining the organisation of my work for the entire year, and not a single time did I ever misplace something. But it seems that my Maths textbook seems to have decided to play "misplaced" at the wrong time (considering that it is my math test tomorrow). My only option now is to go straight to Google to have a go at the topics at hand for tomorrow's exam. My, oh my, what a misfortunate mishap.

Final Exams: Day 2 "The Birthday Charm"

Oh my was this quite the birthday charm I was looking forward to. After many hours of night and day cramming all the little bitty facts of business, I never seemed to get any time to spend with Economics. When the business paper had come in, we had never been more surprised to find it easy. And that is a shock coming from all of the student's taking the Business test. After so, we all geared up to take on the supposedly "most difficult" exam that we will ever face. But what I shock, it was nearly as easy as the Business paper. Wow did my birthday wish come like a charm! Hopefully this charm stays with me till the end of week!

Business and Birthdays

I am now officially 15 years old. Yes, I can now watch the PG-15 movies officially in the cinemas! Though, it is not going to be fully celebrated as of today due to my Business/Economics Exam. My birthday's planned celebration would be during the weekends, intersecting with my younger sister's birthday at June 6th. Speaking of Business and Economics, I still hadn't gotten around finishing my Economics as Business surely was a lengthy study; and I see that it's not only my problem as many other students of my grade think so too. Well, it is the last of the year, so why not just study and get over it? Hopefully I get to succeed in my two most lengthy and difficult tests, considering that my birthday is also today, am really looking forward to this "birthday charm".

Gangnam Style hits 2 billion views!

It seems that Gangnam style by PSY that had held the Guinness World Record for the most viewed YouTube video won't need to be worried anything time soon about other videos taking the over it as the most YouTube video. That is because Gangnam Style had just pass 2 billion views in the count. Even though not many people pay such attention to it now (considering the attention is nearly dead silent), it still is a remarkable achievement for PSY's part.

Is this the railway era for the UAE?

Dubai Metro, one of the most prestigious and remarkable achievements of Dubai. The red line opened at the 9th September 2009 (9/9/9), also at the 9th hour of the 9th minute of the 9th second. Now that is what I call a remarkable opening! The green line had opened at 2011. As of April 2014, more than 14 million people had travelled through the metro in one month, making it a very successful alternative travel to avoid traffic jams (well, the train itself is comparatively slow in compared to most countries). While the metro is going so well, Dubai has yet planned for another railway system; this time it's a tram. At the moment it is under construction and is fairly visible for my sights (which resulted in my research) and is supposedly going to be complete by November 2014. Not only that, Abu Dhabi also sets it's sight on two trains that is going to be set up. One being for supply of resources while the other as a metro system. It seems as if the UAE is setting it's goals to become the railway capital of the middle east.

My thoughts on the Anime "Nisekoi ニセコイ"

It's name "Nisekoi" literally means "False Love" and that is what the anime is clearly about. This anime shows us viewers, a different style of art when it comes to modern anime. I mean that it is much more colourful and emotion expressive than most anime nowadays, and I give it a plus for that. The basic synopsis of the plot is basically a guy named "Raku" who is part of a gang in Japan. His normal days came to an end when his father forces him to "act" as the boyfriend for "Chitoge" who is a part of "Raku's" rival gang. The idea is that they must act as so, to avoid major conflict occurring between the two families. Whoa! This is a whole new unique idea! And yes, there were some flaws and major plot holes (I won't tolerate anyone who says "Just read the Manga") that is what you expect in a normal shonen manga, but that does not overshadow the great execution of this unique concept. This anime is just my type. As I myself, like Romantic Comedies such as those of "Toradora" and "Sakorasou no Pet na Kanojo". As an anime in it's entirety, it gets a very big plus from my part and am sure anyone who had seen this anime will say the same as well, because it is really worth the watch. I just hope they get more episodes airing out from future seasons, as I really want more!

Final Exams: Day 1

Oh well, that was quite the start. Physics was kinda a mixed bag. A part of me said that it was quite simple that I managed to finish it when there is still 45 minutes left in the clock, the other part of me said that great expectations comes with great costs of marks. Basically, don't be too confident. English was the usual, it is very straightforward but is very lengthy. Quite surprised that my other classmates managed to finish it on time, unlike the last two terms. Am still getting used to it, and hopefully my mindset finally settles down to finish the test.
